On the second Friday of each month, a gathering is held at the Yoga Center in Amherst, Massachusetts, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. For more information about this event, call Nina Weyl at (413) 253-0916. Directions to the Yoga Center:
Coming from the North: Get onto 116 South. Go through the light where it directs one to Route 63, North Amherst. Just after 116 divides into four lanes, take the exit for the University of Massachusetts. At the end of the ramp turn left and go over the highway. Continue straight (with a few curves) through two lights. At the third light stay right. At the fourth light get in the right lane and turn right onto North Pleasant Street. Go a few blocks to the next light. Get in the left lane and turn left onto Kellogg Avenue. The Yoga Center is in the next block on the right, #17, in the brick building between two parking areas, above Rao's Coffee. Coming from the East: Get onto Main Street (which is the same as Pelham Road in Amherst, and Amherst Road in Pelham). Come up the hill, past Emily Dickinson's house and the police station, to the light in the center of Amherst (Bank of America will be in front of you). Turn right onto South Pleasant Street. Go one block to the next light. Turn right onto Kellogg Avenue. The Yoga Center is in the next block on the right, #17, in the brick building between two parking areas, above Rao's Coffee. Coming from the West or the South: From the West, get onto Route 9 East. When it becomes two lanes and goes uphill, you'll be approaching Amherst. At the light, where Route 116 goes right, get into the left lane and turn left. / From the South, get onto Route 116 North. Pass Amherst College buildings on your right and go through the light where Route 116 turns left. / You will now have the Amherst Common on your right. Go through the next light. At the next light turn right onto Kellogg Avenue. The Yoga Center is in the next block on the right, #17, in the brick building between two parking areas, above Rao's Coffee.

On the third Thursday of each month, Jan is at Sanctuary in Westminster West, Vermont. The gathering begins at 7:00 and concludes at 8:30. For more information, call Peter or Caitlin Adair at (802) 387-5779. Directions to Sanctuary:
Coming from the South: From I-91, get off at Exit 4, Putney. Proceed toward the town center, about one mile from the exit. At the Putney General Store, turn left. This road is variously called Kimball Hill, Westminster Road or Westminster West Road (preferred). Proceed on Westminster West Road for 7 miles. Do not make any left turns or forks. After 7 miles, you will come to the delightful village of Westminster West. Proceed slowly through the village, and on the far end you will find Gregg Road on the right. Turn right onto Gregg Road. Sanctuary is the second on the right, #40, with a frog sign at the foot of the drive. Park along the right side of the driveway. Please carpool if possible.
Coming from the North: Go to the village of Saxtons River on Route 121. You can get there from I-91, Exit 5, or from Chester or Grafton. In Saxtons River, find the post office. Across from the post office you will see a large white church (now a museum) and you will see a bridge. Go over the bridge and proceed south 5 miles toward Westminster West. Watch for the Westminster West Elementary School on your left. Just past the school and before the village, you will see Gregg Road on your left. Turn onto Gregg Road. Sanctuary is the second house on the right, #40. Park on the right side of the driveway. Please carpool if possible.

A Reading and Workshop in Marietta, Georgia Friday, September 12, 7:00 - 9:00 pm Hear Jan read from her book, When Fear Falls Away: The Story of a Sudden Awakening. Participate in questions and discussion. Saturday, September 13, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Examine our two selves: the familiar self of ordinary life, and the Self that is awake, deeply peaceful, at the mercy of nothing. Explore how our particular life experiences limit our sense of who we are and how that conditioning blocks awareness of the causeless joy within. $145 total with a $75 deposit by July 26th, $165 thereafter.
